Designate Everything Which Is Visible

“Designate Everything Which Is Visible” is the outcome of a theory class on design manifestos. In December 2010 we were asked to write a manifesto ourselves. What do I stand for? And what should I stand for? I always find myself building a personal stance between what I feel and what I should, between personal urgency and social obligation. This time, I understood the question as something like: For someone who doesn’t believe in logos and brochures, what could it mean to call himself a graphic designer? Perhaps trying to integrate too many arguments, I tried to summarize both my personal and social motivations. Is there a possible end, a place where all these motivations arrive? And if I manage to position myself, can this position become a model for orders?
